Privacy Policy

WAL Control ("we", "us", "our") provides operational tooling for live production teams. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have when you use walcontrol.com or our application.

1. Information we collect

Account information

When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, phone number (optional), and password (encrypted).

Production data

When you build a production in WAL Control, we store the data you enter — show information, rundowns, cues, crew member details, artist information, venue contacts, and any documents you upload. This data belongs to you. We process it only to provide the service.

Payment information

Payments are processed by third-party providers (Paystack, Flutterwave). We do not store full card details. We retain the payment reference, plan purchased, amount, and status for billing and support.

Technical information

We collect standard server logs (IP address, browser type, page accessed, timestamp) for security, fraud prevention, and debugging. These logs are retained for 30 days.

2. How we use information

• To provide the WAL Control service — building productions, sending invitations, generating documents, processing payments.
• To communicate with you about your account, plan changes, billing, and important service updates.
• To improve the platform, debug issues, and detect abuse.
• To comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your data. We do not use your production data to train AI models or share it with advertisers.

3. Sharing your information

We share information only in these limited cases:

• Crew you invite — when you invite a member to your production, their email is used to send the invitation and they gain access to that production's data.
• Service providers — we use Wasabi for document storage, Paystack/Flutterwave for payments, and email delivery services. These providers process data on our behalf under their own privacy commitments.
• Legal requirement — if compelled by a valid legal process, we will disclose what is required and notify you where legally permitted.

4. Data storage and security

Production data is stored in encrypted databases. Uploaded files (riders, set lists, documents) are stored on Wasabi S3 with private access controls and served only via signed, time-limited download URLs. Passwords are hashed with bcrypt.

No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affecting your data occurs, we will notify you within 72 hours of becoming aware.

5. Your rights

You can at any time:

• View and update your profile in Account Settings.
• Delete a production, which permanently removes its data and associated files.
• Request export of your data by emailing hello@walcontrol.com.
• Close your account, which deletes your personal data and ownership of all your productions.

6. Data retention

We retain your account and production data for as long as your account is active. After account closure, data is deleted within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g. payment records for tax purposes).

7. Children

WAL Control is not intended for users under 18 and we do not knowingly collect data from minors.

8. International users

Our servers are operated from secure data centres. By using WAL Control, you consent to your data being processed in the regions where our infrastructure is hosted.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the platform evolves. Material changes will be notified by email or in-app. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
